This was just a place for me to vent to the world. Now it is a place where I can try to carry a message of anti-racism, anti-homophobia, anti-sexism and anti-idiot. Unfortunately there are plenty these people in this world. This is my corner of the world where I can say what is right. That gives me the power to say it and live it in real life too.
Picture of the Day: Karachi, Pakistan. Firefighters work to put out a flaming vehicle after continued clashes in the city, spurred on by anger over killings related to political/ethnic/sectarian violence. More than 700 have been killed in targeted killings this year in Karachi.
I’ve written two pieces in the past year or so on the roots of ongoing violence in Sindh provincial capital, and Pakistan’s economic hub: one at AlterNet and one at The Risky Shift.
